How do we work?
Full of design detailing, eco-credentials and building experience, we take the stress out of building an extension and can offer you complete project management. We deal with the plumbers, electricians, contractors and building regulations for you. We’ll keep you informed along the way, without adding to your extensive to do list. Within just a few weeks or months, you could have the space you need – a new guest bedroom, ensuite bathroom, dining room or study. However you are looking to use your home, we can provide the building solution.

How much will it cost me?
Although we can’t give you a definite cost until planning drawings have been produced, we can give you a ballpark idea. Alternatively you can tell us your budget and we can let you know what could be built within that price range. Of course, building work can be costly and it all depends on the size and scale and the finishing touches. But we pride ourselves on no nasty surprises. We will produce a quote for you in advance, showing you where the money will be spent, and we offer financing solutions for those looking for competitive funding opportunities.
Will there be a lot of red tape and paperwork involved?
We do all that we can to reduce the amount of admin that will fall on your shoulders. Lionel’s background in planning and design enables us to take care of all of the building regulations necessities and any planning permission. We will keep you informed all of the way through your project so that you know what to expect and where we will need your involvement. Permitted development rules have recently been relaxed enabling more options for you. Although we always take into account the impact on the environment and your neighbours to ensure what we will build is right for you, your family and the world around you.
What if I own a listed building?
Anyone living in a conversation area, an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) or who owns a listed building will have certain restrictions on what they can build and how it should be built. In most instances this is about ensuring the character of the property or house extension is in keeping with the area around it and doesn’t clash with its original style. We are experienced in gaining approval for customers who need Listed Building Consent and can take this administrative burden off your shoulders so that you can concentrate on the more exciting aspects of your build.
